In the Spring of 2010, Tim was approached by the France Telecom office in San Francisco to help them get started on iOS. After discussing a few possibilities, the focus suddenly grew tight on word that France Telecom's new CEO would be visiting in two weeks. To accelerate the project, Tim recruited developers Aleksey Novicov and Ramin Firoozye, UX designer John Ellenich, and audio designer Nick Thomas to build an app that became known as Swoop.
After a successful demo, work continued in stages through the remainder of 2010 and 2011. Subsequent design stages included designers Andres Davidovits, Cori Kesler, and Kevin Fernandez. As much of the later stages involved the work of Aleksey Novicov, at the end of 2011, project responsibilities transferred to Aleksey's company, Yodel Code.
